When aliens land in Sussex, low-budget analogue broadcast news network AST is forced to bring irreverent newsreader, Duncan Steele, back from suspension to break the news to their small but loyal audience. When the aliens knock out all existing digital signals, Duncan steps up to negotiate with them on behalf of the whole of mankind.
