A creative adaptation of The Last Queen of Scotland

I thought it would be interesting to see a different take on this, Dr Garrigan as a woman, perhaps more conflicted where James MacAvoy's Garrigan comes across as naive. I scripted the short film from two scenes of the original film, interwoven to see the initial discussion with Amin and the terrible outcome of that same conversation. I felt it would be most challenging and satisfying to find an actual story, a film that is complete in itself, drawn from the wider world of the original. But also, this is a stylised representation, the direction of the film intended to mirror, respond to and question the frame-of-mind of the characters... and, you know, to be entertaining!
