A girl is killed on the way home from the city's hottest subculture nightclub. Burnout detective Alex Taylor is assigned to investigate, but the case soon becomes more complex than expected. The death links to a drug derived from a fungus, Ergot: the real poison behind the Werewolf myth. The club owner tells Alex nothing; but one of the regulars takes Alex under his wing. At first Alex is appalled by this alternative lifestyle, but the more Alex experiences, the more he is seduced. But then more deaths occur, and soon Alex faces a greater dilemma than he ever feared...
