Clayton Murdoch (Ashley Thomas) is still haunted by the legacy of his brutal gangster father and bears the scars of his violent upbringing. Determined to live a simple, quiet life, Clayton channels his aggression and anger into boxing with the support of trainer Gordon Sinclair (Peter Mullan) who acts like a surrogate father to him. A stabbing casts the shadow of violence once more on Clayton's family and his new relationship with the damaged Alexia Sinclair (Michelle Ryan) makes him emotionally vulnerable. The death of his brother finally unleashes the demon in Clayton and his quest for revenge leads him back to the terrifying realisation that possibly the monster in his father also resides in him. Clayton has to face the man inside to discover whether he can control his own destiny.
