THE MAN UP THE STAIRS is a short psychological thriller following JULIA, a heartbroken woman who has recently been discarded by her fiancé in favour of someone else. After months of depression and loneliness, she decides to rent out his old room in hopes of finding a companion. However, she struggles to find anyone who wishes to live there, as it has fallen into a state beyond disrepair. Eventually her room grabs the attention of a man called OLIVER, a wealthy writer, who jumps at the chance to take it, much to JULIA’S joy and surprise. Charming, handsome, polite: OLIVER is the perfect tenant in all but one respect.... he has the same appearance as her ex. JULIA begins to question her reality as lines between the past and the present blur beyond recognition, and struggles to find the answer to one burning question: just who is Oliver?
