The Return

David returs home and encounters some interesting things

David is a young boy who lives on a council estate in London, like most teenagers who grow up on a block; extreme violence and drugs surrounds him. He sees the older guys driving the latest cars and wearing designer clothing and his enticed by this which drives him to join a gang, as he gets older his family fear for their safety as his level of violence increases, he does not mean any harm to his family but they make a decision to throw him out of their house in fear of their safety. He then moves out and lives with one of his close friends who is also part of the same gang, after sometime the gang leader is sent to prison and David is blamed for talking to the police, he then decides to join the army to get away from all the drama he was facing. On his return home he has seen so many horrific things and makes a promise to make things right with his parents and all in all be a better person, but on his return his old life catches up to him and he is faced with a decision that could either make or break him. This coming of age story follows David’s journey of searching for a sense of belonging in all the wrong places and finally realizing blood is truly thicker that water.
