A new film project by artist Edward Thomasson, "Touching" is a three-channel film work that explores the implications of empathy in performance and everyday life. Each of the three films that make up the work presents a different scenarios in which notions of empathetic engagement are questioned. These scenarios range from an art therapy class to a re-enactment of John Gielgud's infamous cottaging scandal of 1953.
