Joe escapes from a car collision and is stranded in the middle of nowhere, taken in by a kind husband and wife coupling (Ann and Bruce) who nurse him back to health. During the course of recovery Joe begins to drastically outstay his welcome, leaving Ann and Bruce with the awkward task of telling him its time to move on. Joe has other plans, however...
