WEAVERFISH, at first glance, is an emotionally gritty, coming‐of‐age story about a group of friends engaging in a fantastical act of escapism – their destination, an idyllic, euphoric paradise. Trouble, however, lurks beneath the surface. And through this, a terrifying revelation begins to unfold, exposing more than just the cracks in the group’s friendships but the monsters that they have let themselves become.
