When The Tide Comes In

2015, 18 minutes

As grief and loyalty spark tensions, Aubrey and Gedys must put aside their differences to fulfil their father's dying wish. But has the time for reconciliation truly passed

Set in rural Scotland 1936, Aubrey and Gedys watch their father's decline. After years at sea, embittered by his relationship with his estranged father, Aubrey cannot conceal his contempt for favoured brother Gedys, born to another woman. As anger and grief escalate, a heartbreaking realisation suddenly dawns on Aubrey and Gedys. But can they reconcile their grievances to fulfil their father's dying wish? Can they let go of the past? A film that explores the conflicts of love, devotion and family ties. The story of loyalty, selflessness and the courage to end suffering.
