Documentary short about the forced removals from Harfield village, Cape Town in 1969.

The now affluent suburb of Harfield was once a happy amalgam of culturally diverse people, before its non-white residents were forcibly removed and relocated to other areas along the Cape Flats in 1969 The former residents of ‘the avenues’ take a look back in time: exploring childhood memories of the neighbourly community, high school and growing up, as well as the sadness and trauma of being separated from friends and loved ones through the removals.
