Cover Letters

Hi everyone,

I'm looking for advice on how you approach writing cover letters for jobs that don't give you much to go on. The ones that say 'This is a commercial for crisps. The character is between 30-40 and has brown hair.' What do you say to sell yourself besides - 'Hello, I am interested in this job because I am between 30-40 and I have brown hair. In addition I have eaten crisps before and enjoyed them.' ?

Normally I would talk about my past experience, but I'm trying to branch out and apply for work in categories that I don't have much experience in yet (training videos, adverts, etc.). What do these sorts of castings want to hear?

Many thanks!
Alex
