Invitation to audition.
Hi,
I got an invite to audition for a part - which was lovely - but I can't find any info about them and am now starting to feel wary.
What's the protocol in ths circumstance? Are there any guidelines I should follow?

Editorial Comment Hi Carol - we always encourage our members to ask any questions they might have; employers are generally more than happy to answer! Bear in mind that many student and independent companies might just be starting out, so it can be difficult to find an abundance of information, but there's nothing wrong with asking!
Thank you. I've checked the directors name and he does appear to done a couple of things with CCP actors, but I'll take your advice and ask a few more questions :)

When information is sketchy, I always send a polite e-mail asking about who they are and if they have any samples of previous work I can look at. Thank them first of course.
If possible get a contact number so you can talk to someone and build rapport with them.
You may want to ask the actors who have worked with them for feedback on their experience(s) with the company. I think that will be more honest, unbiased feedback, and I think many people won't mind telling you. That is unless they are jealous.
Anyway, I hope you find the answers you are looking for.

Thanks all, I did do my homework and asked questions and checked them out and it was all good and audition went well :)
Lovely news, I have just found out that I did get the part so am really pleased. It's a very, very low budget film but it's great to get back into the swing of things :)
