Monologues

Hi, all.

I'm searching for a contemporary play with a powerful, emotional, male monologue depicting torment, anguish, grief, etc.

I can't find one that's powerful enough, though.

Any suggestions?

Hello Niall,

You could try looking at Breathing Corpses by Laura Wade. I haven't actually read it, but I have seen a number of the pieces performed and thoroughly enjoyed their range and structure, rather bitter sweet.

Good luck!

Hi Niall,

Christian's speech in David Eldridge's Festen is quite a good one, you could check that one out.

Hi.

Thanks for those. I'll read them both.

Hopefully I'll hit on one that fits the bill.
