Casting Assistant

Hello everyone, I’d love your advice on this. I have a degree in Drama, pursued acting for a few years and have done short courses along the way. I am keen to move in to becoming a casting/agents assistant and have applied for a few roles through creative access. I am looking at doing a casting course and writing to agencies directly. I wondered if anyone could offer any advice?
