Archived User?

I had that too last night, and I have no idea either. Not a very helpful response from me. lol

I had that too! It previously said something like "Blue Something Productions" and then changed to "Archived User".

I think the answer to this one is that an 'archived user' is any prior member of the site, generally an actor, but possibly an employer - I'm not sure there, who has been in subscription funds at one point, but has stopped paying subscription, and so their profile, which was once active, has been 'removed'/'archived'. Sometimes, regular contributors do have to stop paying CCP subs, and their profile becomes archived, and, on rare occasions, admin actually blocks a user because they are felt to be abusive or otherwise threatening. And, of course, sometimes people just want to move off site. I think that's all that's being recorded on your 'views', though admin may be able to confirm.

I agree it may be a bit strange if they have only just viewed you, and are registering as 'archived' as ,surely, if not in funds, they couldn't be viewing the page! But, to be honest, you could be in a situation where the user viewed you on the last day of subscription on Wednesday, didn't repay on Thursday, and has become archived as of Friday etc. As far as I'm aware, that's how it works.

Cat and Clare- I also had the "Blue" something Productions that turned to archived user as soon as I tried to look at stats!
Thank you to admin for clearing that up!

While we're on this subject though, I've been wondering why there is such a disparity between "stats" and "total views".
When I log in, there might be a couple of new views but lower down the figure for total views has often jumped by as many as ten.
Did that make sense and does anyone know what it means please?

Yeah, I'm glad admin cleared that up! I did forget that you can host a profile and look up other profiles without paying subscription, I believe. Of course, I associate most of the 'archived users' I know of with people whom I have known from the forums, and who have then later moved on - one indication of this is, of course, that all those personal mails etc. that you once received from a known face turn into 'archived user' posts retroactively! Subscription is certainly needed for forum access, of course.

The internet has so much to answer for! I click on soooo many links - for mild fun/interest... The problem is that most of these clicks take me seriously.
Even if there was the facility for a sliding scale. I don't believe it would be useful for employers & agents.
So much is decided through gut reactions- on paper.

hiya ive been told by a person who said they were emloyer that they only use the tag of employer so that there friends can view without paying a subscription they can also post but only one person pays ? That mental to call your self employer if your not , just to get out of paying to join ccp i take no notice of them the real ppl contact you and then you can check them out it happens even through spotlight sometimes my friend slyvia young gets calls from ppl saying they making pilot can they see this person she always checks before sending anyone blucky you do get real ppl contact you on here its just life there will always be that small ounce of freaky ppl pity them mickeyx

Yes, I'd come to that conlusion: it's usually a good indication when an "employer" name who's viewed you is in black and doesn't have a profile that you can link through to. As Simon said, one can't take anything too seriously these days - only the actual approaches for work matter at the end of the day!

i also had a view from the same company that then went to archived user...seems they went on a run on profile view!
