Issue with Mandy mail messages?

Hi!

I’m having a problem with mail alerts on this site. I’m often receiving messages days after they were sent and have missed out on work opportunities as a result.

Is anyone else having issues like this?

Mandy - is there a technical problem?

Probably best to check your inbox every hour or so - I do! With the amount of competition in this business, it's always better to be ahead of the game.

Hi Sue,

Thanks so much for your reply. I’m actually having issues with my mail on the site, not the alert sent to my email account. Messages simply aren’t appearing when they are sent (often days after).

I was wondering if anyone else was experiencing the same problem?

Hi again.
I've just checked the last message I got, which was two days ago, but the sender had last logged on five days ago - so I guess I'm having the same trouble too!
Let's hope Mandy sort it out soon.

Hi Becky,

Yep this happened to me a couple of months ago-a message about an urgent job was sent on Friday night and I received it on Monday morning (too late). I didn’t chase it up with Mandy but might be useful to know if this has happened with other members.

I think it’s a real worry. I’ve had the same happen on Mandy Voices too. I believe I’ve just missed out on a job.

There’s little point being a member (and paying the fees) if you keep missing jobs because of a technical fault. I think it also reflects badly on us actors, as it appears we simply aren’t responding to messages!

Mandy staff? Any thoughts? Are you aware of this?

I already put but email and mobile number on my applications. I'm beginning to think I need to add a standardised sentence saying something along the lines of

"I check my Mandy mail frequently every day and will always respond swiftly to messages. If you message me about this job and don't hear back PLEASE email or phone/text me as there have been problems with Mandy's messaging service recently"

This is really NOT ACCEPTABLE though. At all. You are costing people opportunities here, Mandy. You have one job, that we pay you handsomely for. Do it properly. Or people will be "thanking" you very sarcastically on Twitter soon for LOSING them a role.
