Promoting female talent
Hello, I am a recent drama school grad but since leaving have been really passionate about creating my own. I decided to turn my frustration with the continual gender imbalance represented on stage into instead creating a showcase that celebrates upcoming female acting & directing talent.
It's a brand new start-up show called Bite the Apple. First performance is Saturday 8th March 12.30pm & 3pm at The Etcetera Theatre, Camden. If we gather plenty of support we are all set to get this going as a regular event. Support from the industry so far has been great - we have director Lucy Kerbel (& author of 100 Great Plays for Women) doing a talk/ book signing and also an industry panel discussion.
