Will be sadly missed. She had a great personality and was a committed performer and Union Member.

That is so sad - she was brilliant. I saw her a couple of times recently at Equity meetings and she did look very frail. God bless.

I know that she would like to be remembered as as a versatile actress but it was in The Rag Trade that she first came to my notice along with Barbara Windsor (I think) Reg Varney and Peter Jones. I suppose it was one of the first adult programme that I watched as a child. He whistle blowing shop steward with the cry of "Everybody out!" made such an impression. Atalented actress and sincere lady she will be greatly missed.

Frail or not in health I can attest to the strength of her commitment to her profession and spirit.
At the meeting at the Young Vic where the head of Arts Council UK was dodging and 'doing a Scargill' by avoiding any direct answers to questions by Equity members she stood up and and faced him down demanding a Vote of No Confidence in the Arts Council. Which was carried by 100%.
A leader and an innovator. The Union will be the poorer for her passing.

I worked with Miriam in a comedy at the RSC during their days at the Barbican. She was a lovely woman and great comedy performer. RIP x
