Did anyone watch BBC Southwests prgramme "Inside Out" last night?
it featured a segment about a bogus theatre director operating under various names. She goes up and down the country claiming to be from a theatre company and offering a play to various small struggling regional theatres only to extract money from them and local actors and disappear into the night. She operates under many names one of which is calld Plan B Theatre and was featured on this website as a job advert. I applied for it myself as it promised a fantastic tour. Luckily i wasn't contacted but i kknow there are lots of actors who have been duped.
This director has also claimed she is a twin and her alleged twin sister operates the marketing side of her company and she operated the creative side but they have never been seen in the same room.
I know its very easy to trust companies and employers as we think everyone is above board and kosher but just be very careful when approaching certain companies.
