I did a short film about 10 days ago, I told the director Mandy would be getting in touch for verification. I added the credit to my profile and it remains unverified.
I contacted the director to check her email address which I had given to Mandy, she said she got thier email and clicked to confirm but it kept saying the 'project no longer exists'. She did not know how to proceed.
I can't help wondering how many times has this happened in the past. I've never added a credit on Mandy where I didn't go through the verification process and yet a substantial number remain unconfirmed, going back years, I think I now know why, at least in a few cases.
Not sure I will be bothering in future.

It sounds like the employer in question may have had an issue when attempting to verify this credit through our Automated System, you or they are welcome to contact emails@mandy.com and provide us with a copy of your correspondence to serve as verification of your credit. Whilst we endeavour to ensure our emails reach all referee contacts provided to us, on the occasion at an employer cannot verify, please do reach out to us as we would be happy to discuss alternative ways in which you can verify your credits.
The point is, it's only by chance this came to my attention. How many other directors have hit the same snag in the past and because they've got better things to do they've not informed me about it, they've just left it and got on with thier lives.
I'm stuck with a patchy record as far as verification is concerned through no fault of my own AND you still require proof of that Directors email to me before you'll verify my credit. Its not worth bothering with.
In future, when completing a job and I tell the director to expect Mandy to be in touch asking for verification, I will make a point of asking them to contact me if they hit a snag when clicking 'confirm, I would ask all Actors to do the same.
If this is happening a lot, it will be one more reason why the verification system should be scrapped.
