Showreel feedback please

Hi all,

Hope you're well. I was hoping to get some feedback on my showreel I just edited together.

It's longer than I'd like it to be, I was aiming for 3 mins, obviously its over that but I figure most CD's skip around showreels anyway rather than watch it all the way through - I know that what I often do.

Hoping to send around to agents so any honest feedback would be very much appreciated.

Hi, Ross. Yes, that one works. As you have said, it's far too long and CDs probably won't have time to "skip around". You need your best scene first. Cut the first scene altogether - it's not about you. Have the scene with the girl as your first scene - then the CD knows exactly who they're looking at. Shorten both the monologues. That should give you 3 minutes or less.
Begin the whole thing with your head shot and Spotlight PIN - don't have the PIN running through the entire reel - it's distracting. Do not put "thank you for your consideration" - it sounds needy.
I hope that all helps - it's just my opinion, of course.
