I have been thinking for a long time about trying to form a group of about three comedy actresses with the aim of devising, writing and putting together a show. I don't feel that there are enough female comediennes out there and that we need to redress the balance! I have experience writing comedy for the stage - children's plays and a farce musical - but really want to push myself more.
My comedy influences are The League of Gentlemen, Nighty Night, Ab Fab, Blackadder, Arrested Development, but am completely open to people who have influences at opposite ends of the spectrum. For me one of the most important things here is commitment, I have been let down in the past with projects were people say they want to do something only to be rubbish with deadlines, meetings communication etc.
