Work just to get by

Hi my fellow Actress' and actors,

The spoken words we contiune to hear, work outside of work!

I have worked at RSVP in the past and prefer not to go down the same route. wanted to see if they are any temporary jobs or work that can go hand and hand with our acting career?

Look forward to your discussion

Hi Frankie,

I have known some actors to work in casting as an assistant or work for Agents. For me I'm a qualified payroller so I found a job where the employer knows I act and is flexible around me, so I come and go all the time but as you know them jobs are one in a million.
If you drive you can get delivery jobs which are a earn as you go basis and kind of your own boss or traditionally pubs, restaurants and bars. Its a hard task dude but I'm sure you will find something.

Try 'artisan people' and zero hours jobs in museums. It can be quite nice , and gives you time to be 'in your head' a fair amount. I have worked on speeches and sketches a fair amount on the galleries. And it's not as bad as the phone work. Also, teacher assistant work through agencies.

I work at Listen, a fundraising organisation. It's similar to RSVP in that it's a call centre. But you only have to do a minimum of 17.5 hours a week and you can work weekends which means you have free time during the week. The hours are flexible and the pay is good.
