Project DetailsWe are looking to meet creative Technicians and/or Engineers interested in joining our company to create and finesse new ways to power carbon-neutral theatre.Key details:- Part time: Between November 2020 and May 2021- Confirmed Fee: £240 fee (2 days @ £120/day) taking place in January 2021.We are also currently applying for funding to support a new commission. If we are successful, this will allow us to pay the technician engaged through this callout to work with us to develop a new form of renewable energy technology never before used in UK live performance. This would be paid at ITC rates for a minimum of 2 weeks (exact time frame to be confirmed), and will likely take place in November 2020 OR May 2021, funding dependent. About us:Pigfoot are a multi award-winning, carbon-neutral theatre company, dedicated to making collaborative work about the climate and ecological crisis. Our theatre ‘practices what it preaches’ (The Sunday Times) and protests from within an industry which, in London alone, has a carbon footprint of 50,000 tonnes a year - roughly equivalent to driving a car 1.5 million times round the M25.Our shows are carbon-neutral; our production materials are upcycled and recyclable, our sound is often created live, and the electricity we use is generated live from the kinetic energy of our performers’ bodies. Our climate comedy, How To Save A Rock, is powered by bikes cycled live during performance – by our performers, and sometimes by our audience too!
