We wish to appoint an enthusiastic and inspiring Teacher of Music to join our successful and expanding department where Music is taught up to ‘A’ level and includes Music Technology at ‘A’ level. The department is looking forward to moving into a brand new Music and Drama block by March 2021. This will provide the department with a range of specialist and purpose-built facilities to deliver an exciting and engaging curriculum to our students to enhance their music education.Music is a highly successful subject in the school and is increasing its numbers substantially at Key Stage 4 and 5. A large number of music concerts are performed during the year. It would be expected that the successful candidate would contribute to a substantial amount of extra-curricular music offered by the school. The ability to play the piano/another instrument (Grade 7+ or at an equivalent standard) would be an advantage, as would knowledge of sequencing software such as Cubase.Candidates are asked to indicate on their application form if they would be willing to take on additional responsibilities within the department and we would encourage candidates to contact the school in advance of applying if they wish to discuss this option.
