This department is made up of dedicated, passionate and talented teachers who specialise in Dance, Drama and Music. Our aim is to celebrate the talents of our students and inspire a love of learning through the Arts. We offer an inclusive curriculum in our specialist facilities that focus on the key components of creating, performing and appreciation. There is huge potential to maximise use of our new spaces including an outdoor amphitheatre, a purpose built dance studio, 3 drama studios and an auditorium.As we plan for KS4 and KS5, we are looking for teachers to contribute creative ideas and their expertise to further develop student interest and talent. There has been a strong interest in Performing Arts for KS4 where students will be studying BTEC Tech Award in Performing Arts focusing on either the Acting or Dance pathways and GCSE Music. Extra-curricular activities are clearly an important aspect of the department. We work as a team to ensure students receive experiences in a range of disciplines and continue to build connections with local and specialist companies.
