This position would suit a recent Drama Graduate who is seeking experience in assisting with the teaching of individuals and groups, and is looking to develop skills with children. Previous class teaching is not essential to the post as the Performing Arts Department would offer comprehensive support and guidance where required.Principal ResponsibilitiesTo support the Drama (and Dance) department when required with production assistance.To provide practical and administrative support during rehearsals and productions across theLower, Middle and Upper School.To be involved with extra-curricular rehearsals for GCSE and A level examination groups.To provide technical support when required to department staff or students including filming forGCSE and A level examinations.To accompany school theatre trips.To undertake appropriate and agreed continuing professional development.To provide support to the wardrobe mistress for all productions.To arrange licensing for agreed productions, which would include the purchasing of the license,additional publicity materials and instrumental packages, liaising with the Finance and Marketingdepartments.To organise rehearsal schedules through to production in communication with relevantdepartments.To run and assist with extra-curricular activities when required.To teach LAMDA to girls in year ten and above, supported by the Drama staff where appropriate.To maintain the online profile of the Drama department.To take leadership of all room bookings and room changes within the department.For those applicants considering a career in teaching we will provide support, mentoring and teachingexperience ahead of you applying for your PGCE.
