The position will involve production work on a variety of live and as-live productions including Football, Boxing, Basketball, Netball, Hockey, Badminton, Bowls, Rugby Swimming, Diving for clients such as Sky Sports, the BBC, Eurosport, Channel 4 and Premier Sports. We are open to applicants with a good level of knowledge of television production; experience in live sport would be beneficial but applicants with potential will be considered with a view to training in certain aspects of the role. With this in mind the salary will be offered in line with the experience of the successful candidate. Typical Activities The Sports Producer will be based at Televideo’s Sheffield office, and will be required to work on outside broadcasts and film shoots across the UK several days per week, involving travel and unsociable hours. Some productions may be outside of the UK and will involve travel abroad. The position may involve overnight shifts overseeing edits at Televideo’s base on occasion.Will take an active role in all Televideo’s productions; writing scripts and running orders, planning features packages, working with editors, booking and managing talent teams, and onsite producing of broadcasts. Will be required to liaise and meet with clients and broadcasters, to ensure full satisfaction with production service and programme content throughout the production process. Will oversee programme features and shoots; organise features in pre-production, co-ordinate film crew at shoot locations, work with talent onsite, and work with editors back at base to finalise the feature for broadcast. Will be expected to go on outside broadcasts and work towards overseeing the production in live and recorded situations, including managing talent onsite, speaking with the broadcasters and TX suites, live production timings, working with the director, producer and other outside broadcast departments and Floor Managing.Have an active role in working with broadcast graphics – from delivering information to graphics operators and designers to operating the VizRT graphics systems used by Televideo (to be taught in-house).  Primary SkillsA creative and innovative approach to all aspects of production, from ideas stage to final product. Ability to adapt and develop projects throughout the production process when faced with new challenges. Knowledge of broadcast quality control and editing standards Ability to interact with and assist all members of the production and OB team, including reporters, presenters, and guestsAbility to interact with clients and broadcasters over the phone, by email and in-person - this is a client facing role and the applicant must be confident to deal with people in person, attending meetings and briefings on a regular basis.A keen interest in sports is key.Secondary SkillsA knowledge of editing systems, specifically Premiere Pro, would be an advantage.A clean driving licence would be an advantage. Minimum Requirements3 x A-levels, BTEC National Diploma or equivalentHours: Contracted to 175 hours per monthWorking work: Monday – Sunday in line with the needs of the businessSalary: Salary will be offered in line with the experience and suitability of the candidate.
