About the Role201 Dance Company is holding auditions for dancers to join us in rehearsing and touring our brand-new production: “Sad Book”. We’re looking for performers with a strong hip-hop and/or contemporary background. About the Production“Sad Book” is an adaptation of Michael Rosen and Quentin Blake’s award-winning picture book that explores, in simple language, what it means to be sad. It chronicles a writer’s grief at the death of his son, and how he continues his life afterwards. It’s a moving combination of sincerity and simplicity, acknowledging that sadness can be a normal part of life. 201 has a reputation for emotionally-engaging work, and we are ecstatic to be bringing this beautiful piece of writing to the stage for the first time.
