Spark! is a high-tech extravaganza of amazing drumming, stunning costumes, dynamic choreography and – LIGHT! Lots of light!Performances:Performance fees average £200 per day.Pre-COVID we could tell you with certainty that the performers who were available for the most shows in Spark! earned around £21,000 in the 2019-20 period. This was part time (about 100 days work). Some of this was very intense work (like six days in Russia; a week in China etc – so more than full time) whilst in other periods there were not any shows for 2-3 weeks.  In addition performers received the majority of their meals (some belters!) or per diems (additional food allowances) for most time away. In “normal times”, if you blend Spark! with some other flexible work or other projects (as all our other performers do) then it can be very rewarding in every sense!In the short-term, for reasons we don’t need to explain (!), we can’t tell you with such certainty as before. We are getting a lot of interest in bookings and there is huge pent-up demand out there once events can happen more freely. We are growing the Spark! team because right now we are turning down more work than we can take on. We’re in a chicken-and-egg situation right now. By growing the team, we will grow the pool of work available.Right now you would sensibly have to combine Spark! with some other flexible work. We’re just being honest and realistic but we are very hopeful that things will pick up to where they were within the next year.Once events are able to take place freely again your income will depend upon a number of factors such as:How much work you are available for – those who are most available and flexible obviously do the most showsHow many performers we need for a particular show. We need between 5 and 8 per show depending on the booking.Your skills and how hard you work – if you put the effort in and learn more than one part in the show, you will get offered more shows.Initial rehearsals:Initial rehearsals will be 12-15 days spread over July/Aug/Sept and we’ll try to make them fit around existing commitments new performers have. You will be paid £30 per day expenses for initial rehearsals with an additional £1200 training bonus (on top of show fees) paid after you’ve completed your first 10 performance days for us.
