Room 515 (working title) is an important and sensitive film about a middle-aged protagonist; a woman who has kept her sexuality a secret for the sake of holding her family together. Now in her forties, the woman decides to pursue happiness and uncover her truth by meeting with a younger, more confident lesbian woman in a hotel one night.The project has funding interest from a large figure in the film industry, and there is a multi-award winning, talented crew already attached. The team have an extraordinary number of worldwide film festival credits between them, having had previous work screened at BAFTA & OSCAR-qualifying festivals in the last five years alone; furthermore, the production company behind Room 515 have a strong track record and reputation within the industry, with credits including the BAFTA-Longlisted Stop/Eject. Please note - we want to use this project as an opportunity to amplify LGBTQIA+ voices, so we're looking to hear from applicants within that community at this time.
