The film is structured by a series of letters written to the treehouse, in the early 90s, interspersed with memories from those who have engaged with the radical hospitality of the commons, as well as those who project visions for its future.Oral retellings of historic events such as, anti war protests of Greenham common in the 1980s, the Diggers of the 17th century, Upstate New York radical summer camps in the 1930s and 1940s, the 1990s squatted communities of road protest camps, the outdoor raves of the 2000s, as well as future speculations of communality, converge into a singular social history of the George Green treehouse, told through the letters and voiced by the film’s protagonist.
