The successful candidate is a self starter who eagerly takes on new challenges and seeks unorthodox solutions to old or systemic problems. As an Office Coordinator, you will be the first point of contact for our company and the face of Media.Monks. Fires come up every day, big and small, so we’re looking for someone who can calmly and swiftly put them out with a smile on his/her face. Multitasking and meticulous organizational skills are essential for this position.Responsibilities will include:Welcoming visitors and directing them to the appropriate partiesManaging building access with visitors and vendors ensuring building securityCoordinating the pick-up and delivery of express mail services (FedEx, UPS, etc.)Keeping a keen eye for detail around the office, ensuring the common areas are tidy and professionalOrdering, receiving and stocking office supplies and a very robust snack and beverage selectionRunning ad hoc errands and managing offsite vendor relationshipsScheduling and organizing onsite meetings, trainings and lunch and learnsManaging onsite facilities including maintenance, troubleshooting and repair of physical property, office equipment, IT systems, building access and security, building improvements, general maintenance coordination and maintaining relationships with building management and ownership.Supporting Operations staff on projects including but not limited to event planning, facilities improvements and employee onboardingAssist with Health and Safety within the buildingRequirements: Experience executing administrative tasks in a professional environment, whether an internship, volunteer engagement or paid employmentProfessional attitude and presentationSolid written and verbal communication skillsAbility and desire to be resourceful and proactive when issues ariseExcellent organizational skillsMultitasking and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasksExceptional ability to learn, adapt, discover and test new ideasDesire to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure, and fun startup environmentPositive, customer service attitudeBA/BS degree from an accredited universityExtra credit:1+ year work experience as a receptionist, administrative assistant or similar roleHands-on experience with office equipment and IT systemsInterest in advertising and marketing
