Giggle Wiggle Plop! is a new show for young children and their families which weaves together, songs, stories, and adventures in a patchwork cabaret of nonsense. This original play celebrates imagination, family and good old-fashioned fun as unexpected events require an ordinary family to find extraordinary ways to laugh and play together. Treadboard Theatre and Bethany Cooper Productions are looking to recast the role of TEDDY due to the original cast member leaving the project at short notice for personal reasons.We’re looking for someone to jump on board who is a quick learner, confident and happy to work with Alix Cazalet (Director) and the outgoing actor as part of the hand over process before taking on the role fully. This is a paid project, but the handover rehearsal which will be an in-person session with the director to go through the script, choreography and music before full rehearsals start, will be unpaid. However, a contribution towards travel and food may be negotiable for this rehearsal!Having already had some R&D time, this is the final stage of development for Giggle Wiggle Plop, and includes rehearsals and a public performance at MAST, Southampton, as part of their Family Day, together with one or two schools’ performances in February 2022, dates,TBC. We specifically want to connect with Hampshire/SW based actors as rehearsals and performances will take place at MAST, Southampton and actors must be based/have a base in this region or be prepared to stay locally for their contracted days. We are unable to cover accommodation costs.
