     We are looking for an experienced and innovative candidate that has a proven track record of identifying and championing content that will appeal to a wide variety of audiences. Relationship management is a fundamental part of this role, acting as a key contact for production companies during the development and production process, offering advice and mentorship on our requirements, feedback on pitches, and encouraging collaborative working relationships. The position can be based in New York, Los Angeles or London.Overview & Responsibilities:Lead the development phases for both series and movies from original pitch to execution, providing notes in line with the vision of the projectHear and respond to pitches; evaluate new project submissions to assess their value as it relates to the creative directionCentralize all submissions sourced from multiple P+ regions, solicit feedback from all territories in an effort to determine viability for pan-regional productionsWork with peers from the US studios on potential collaborationsGuides creators from the pitch stage through outline, script, production and post; formulates and drafts notes on scripts and cutsReviews all aspects of production: budget, casting, scripts, communications, final delivery, and critiqueBuilds and maintains active relationships within the creative community – agents, writers, producers, talent, etc.Liaisons with all supporting departments including: Marketing, Press, Research, Digital, Social and Business & Legal AffairsEncourages innovative thought and behavior and serves as an example to all staff employeesActs in an ethical manner and adheres to the ViacomCBS code of conduct policies at all timesTravel will be necessaryBasic Qualifications:10+ years of experience in content development & current programming with a significant tenure within either a Studio or an established independent production company5+ years in an executive capacity with experience at a studio, channel/platform or production companyDemonstrated track record developing/producing commercially successful scripted and/or factual seriesAdditional Qualifications:Extensive knowledge of the entertainment media industryStrong, established relationships with key players in the TV industry, including talent, agents, production companies, producers, writers, etc.Excellent writing and storytelling skills with strong knowledge of script structure; must be proficient at writing notes and giving directionStrong creative reputation with an established network of contacts and relationships within the industryAn ability to communicate effectively with the creative community as well as the logistical and financial side of productionPossesses the ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a high-volume workloadExcellent communication and interpersonal skills are vital in order to liaise with a range of people and personalities, from channel executives to production staff, to talent agents and actorsWell suited to a fast-paced, globally dispersed environment and highly self-motivatedMust have strong problem solving and decision-making abilities and be able to handle conflict in a professional manner
