SONIA HERRIES, is a middle aged woman who lives alone in the house where she grew up, surrounded by her late parents’ valuable antiques and paintings. A single woman in the big city, never having married or had children.



One night, when returning home after attending a social dinner, she encounters a homeless young man ABBOTT, who returns her purse after it was snatched by a thief.



With her knee injured in the robbery, the good looking and charming, Abbott takes Sonia back to her house and tends to her. At first Sonia responds to the young man’s kindness, but slowly he and his girlfriend, ABBY, invade her home under the guise of feeling concern.



Is Abbott genuine in his willingness to take care of this lonely woman with a weak heart, or does his kindness have a price and sinister intentions lurk behind his good natured persona? Or has Sonia lived alone too long to be able to recognise a genuine Good Samaritan?
