LOOKING TO MEET WITH AN SFX SUPERVISOR FOR UPCOMING HORROR SHORT
We are looking to meet with an SFX supervisor, SFX students or someone who is familiar with special effects to discuss our next short film FIRST TIME BUYERS.
Summary of the film:
FIRST TIME BUYERS is a horror-comedy short - A young couple attends a house viewing for an affordable dream London home, but the house is haunted! Would you live with a vengeful spirit to live in your dream home?

Amelia Vernede (producer) and Lauren Blackwell (director), would like to meet with someone to discuss the potential for special effects in First Time Buyers. The project is greenlit and will be shooting in March 2021 (restrictions depending).
This will be a chance to meet fellow filmmakers, expand your network and create a space for future collaborations. This meeting will be a chance for us to gain some knowledge of what effects are worth investing in for the film and how we should approach the next stage of production. We are excited to try different kinds of effects and hope to have an R&D week where we try out everything we are planning for the shoot itself.
We hope that this meeting will lead to a long-term collaboration but the budget for the production is small and we understand that may not appeal to everyone. Because of the budget, we are particularly interested in meeting with students who are looking to gain practical experience. We are happy to discuss an SFX supervisor's credit in the final film if we move forward with any of your ideas.
