Facebook Live: How to Monetise Your Film & Find Distribution

As an emerging filmmaker, you may be wrestling with the differing ways in which you can bring your project to life and deliver it to audiences. Our industry is evolving and there have never been so many avenues that professionals can explore when crewing up their projects, monetising their work, seeking distribution and more.

During our recent Facebook Live, we were joined by renowned film producer, writer, director and CEO of short film streaming platform Argo, Arcadiy Golubovich! Arcadiy has years of experience in the industry, wearing many distinguished hats, and he understands perfectly how the dynamics of filmmaking can pose many challenges and huge rewards for emerging filmmakers. "The brilliance of short film is that you have a chance to focus. Whether it’s one twist or one idea or story, this can be the cornerstone for your project. Short films present a lot of opportunity to be creative, but it’s hugely important to get your audience to laugh or to cry in this short time."

"When crewing up your project, look towards digital platforms like Mandy for professionals. Don't look for those with the biggest credits or those with the biggest following. Look for those who you click with and can help transform your project for the better."

"When just starting out, select one professional you admire, whether they are huge or emerging, and take the initiative to research the projects they have worked on. This will allow you to have a clear understanding of how a production takes place, as well as offering you the opportunity to network with professionals."
