Madame Tussauds London Actor

Madame Tussauds London Actor

  • Project Details
We are looking for Actors to step into the spotlight and take a leading role in bringing the attractions immersive sets to life.

    About the role

As one of our Actors you will be present throughout the many zones within the attraction, engaging with guests of all ages, using a mixture of improvisation, and set scripts to make sure that all guests leave having received a truly unique experience.

Whether that’s allowing them to mingle with their favourite celebrities in our Awards area, making sure they are on their best behaviour whilst meeting the Queen, or helping them save the day with their favourite Marvel Superhero!

You’ll also be educating them on the fascinating history of Marie Tussaud, so we’ll need you to be good at memorising scripts to ensure historical accuracy whilst also ensuring the brand ethos is kept alive.

Although there are a variety of parts to play, we will need you to have the stamina to perform physical characters for a long duration as well as self-motivation due to the high repetition nature of the role.

Aside from your performing duties, and to enhance the overall attraction experience the role will also provide regular assistance to the operational teams, assisting with queue line management and guest flow. Dealing with high volume of guests means that you will need to be confident in dealing with sometimes challenging situations.

This is a 4 month contract until 31st January 2023, based on working a minimum of 15 hours per week, including at least two weekends a month and working through our peak periods. There will also be an opportunity to pick up more shifts as and when the business requires. Please be aware that this contract will also be inclusive of Christmas and New Year.

Madame Tussauds London is open daily and so flexibility will be needed as shifts will include weekends, evenings, bank holidays and peak seasons.

Auditions will take place w/c 5th September and rehearsals w/c 12th September – we will need you to be able to commit to theses dates if successful.

    About you

To succeed in this role, you’ll need,

    - Have a flair for the theatrical and an interest in performing arts.

    - To have experience working in a high-pressured, busy environment.

    - Strong improvisational skills and an excellent vocal knowledge, with correct use of projection.

    - You will have the ability to learn lines and keep to scripts, whilst being able to take direction to make sure there is brand consistency.

We’re a close-knit team, so we need you to be a reliable team player with excellent time management and communication skills.

Overall, you will have a love of entertaining through character acting and a desire to create memorable experiences for all our guests.

So, what are you waiting for? it’s your time to shine!

    Why join us?

Alongside a truly unique working environment, we can offer,

    - An hourly rate of £10.65 paid fortnightly

    - 25% discount in our retail shops and restaurants

    - 40% online LEGO discount,

    - Access to an exclusive employee discount website

    - Local benefits

    - Merlin Magic Pass – allowing your friends and family free entry into our attractions globally!

Perhaps the biggest benefits of joining us, however, are the outstanding opportunities for career development across the expanding group.
