Casting a Windrush Monologue play to commemorate the Windrush for University staff, students, and external stakeholders at an upcoming African/Caribbean event this June 2024. Actors must be able to speak their parts with a Caribbean (Jamaican Patois) accent. Actors will be asked to enact the words of people who came on the Windrush in a way that reveals the cultural and historical events that led people to leave the Caribbean, life in Britain, and the experiences of subsequent generations in Britain. Scripts will be provided.
