    A brilliant opportunity for Musical Theatre Practitioners is now available to teach their passion of Dancing/Singing/Acting in an outstanding Performing Arts AcademyApplicants should have Musical Theatre experience/training and will primarily be teaching Dance lessons at the AcademyAbout the AcademyThe Academy is a Performing Arts specialist and purely teaches students DANCING, ACTING and SINGING.The Academy is of mixed gender.Students ages: 3 to 19 years old.Location: DERBYContract: Permanent on part-time hours (based on passing first 3 months trial)Days/Hours: 1 day a week based on 3 working hours starting from 5pm to 8pmAcademy runs for 48 weeks a year with 2 weeks break for Christmas and 2 weeks break in summer.Class size: 20 maximum per 30 minutes sessionPay: Starting from £10-15 an hour (depending on experience)Outstanding potential for CPD within the Academy including the potential of more hours, more pay, promotion to line managers and the opportunity to become a principal of your own franchise working for the Academy.Musical Theatre Candidate requirements:Teaching experience: preferable whilst not required as training is provided by the Academy.Dancing/Acting/Singing experience: yes - The Academy requires experienced Dancers to work with, and experience in the field is a must to fit the role.Candidates should have a diverse understanding of all Dancing genres to fulfil the standard required for teaching the Academies students.Trained in Dance: Ideally yes – Musical Theatre Practitioners should have a form of qualification, preferably in Dance, or in Acting/Singing that supports their application for the role.The candidate should be an outstanding performer to be able to take on the role to its fullest and to teach youngsters at the Academy the Dance/Acting/Singing professions at a high standard to achieve the ultimate best results from the Academies young talent attending each week.Candidates must be passionate about Dancing and the world of Dance.Candidates must be committed to the role and excellent with timekeeping.Candidates must be inspired to make a difference with our youngsters and be able to continuously push the best out of all students.Candidates must have a passion, care and understating of children needs and are required to be DBS checked.Candidates are preferred to have experience in working with children and should have a sense of pride in developing children's performance ability supporting their dreams for the Performing Arts.Candidates will have the flexibility to organise/plan practical lessons each week.Candidates employed by the Academy can enjoy being creative with their passion for Dance through this rewarding profession. Working through the Academy's bespoke set-up, provides flexibility to our employee’s creativity within the Academy.Successful candidates can build on their own Performing Arts careers with this job position and with consideration to the flexible hours allowing plenty of time to continue with personal Performing Arts jobs whilst at the same time as working with the Academy and gaining a good part-time financial benefit supporting them with their other possible endeavours.Teaching at the Academy will provide Musical Theatre Practitioners with an impressive portfolio and a priceless experience in teaching youngsters the fine art of Dance and the necessary skills needed to make it in the industry whilst without any doubt help to build confidence self-esteem for the students and a great fulfilment for the teaching staff responsible for the students' success.
