    Network Ten is looking for a Video Producer to join the video team
    for TEN’s news, entertainment and lifestyle digital platform, ten
    daily. Reporting to the Video Team Lead this vital role will be
    responsible for supporting the brand’s video strategy, ensuring ten
    daily delivers timely, accurate, compelling and engaging video across a
    variety of topics from news, sport, entertainment, food and viral
    stories to engage audiences across digital and social platforms.
    You will work closely with the video team, ten daily journalists,
    producers, TEN stakeholders and technical staff, ensuring ten daily
    journalists have access to compelling, shareable and news-worthy video
    content to support our stories.
    A creative thinker and digital storyteller, the video producer should
    be passionate about identifying new ways to tell stories through video
    formats, sourcing and editing engaging video optimised for sharing.
    Experiencing shooting original video (in studio or on location) would be
    a bonus.
    A passionate news and content junkie, this role will be required to
    keep a close watch on the news cycle, responding to breaking news
    stories, procedures and live events by quickly packaging and producing
    great video content for journalists and our social team as required.
    Experience working in a broadcast environment or deadline-driven
    newsroom is ideal.  
    In addition to your strong editing skills (using software such as
    Premiere, Viz Easy Cut, or AVID), you will be adept at producing video
    content quickly, uploading to websites, and experience with Brightcove
    or similar video CMS platforms will be ideal.
    The applicant should be creative (with a sense of humour), a fast
    decision maker and problem solver with excellent communication skills.
    They’ll be highly organised, a team player and genuinely passionate
    about video content, and what makes users click, share and engage with
    content on digital platforms
    Flexibility to work outside regular office hours, including early mornings, late nights or on weekend when required. 
    Key responsibilities of the role: 
    Supporting ten daily’s video strategy; produce, source, edit and
    distribute engaging, unique and exciting short-form video content
    driving video streams online and via social platformsCreating compelling video content for web and social distribution,
    including the creation of short-form videos, GIFS or multimedia clipsWork with TEN News teams, Social Media, Programming and talent, developing innovative ways to engage audiences via videoProvide support during live events or breaking news, which may include working out of office hours or on weekends as requiredLeverage social channels and broadcast systems to source and gather content for journalists, ensuring clearance for digital useShare video knowledge and insights with the team - staying in the know!Be a natural storyteller who can push the boundaries via video formats
    Required qualifications:
    2+ years of experience producing and editing digital video contentExperience working in a newsroom or broadcast news environment ideal; ability to create content around news eventsStrong experience using video and image editing software such as Premiere, After Effects, Viz Easy Cut or AVID.Knowledge of digital breaking news proceduresComputer literacy, knowledge of server and FTP systems and a clear understanding of multimedia formats.Well-developed communication skillsSolid understanding of the social web, copyright and Australian media law
