    Part-Time, SeasonalHiring Rate: DOEOpen Until Filled We are seeking an energetic, motivated and team-oriented Costume Designer to work part-time at the Northbrook Theatre. The Theatre is state-of-the-art and provides high-quality performances including professional productions for family audiences and community musicals, and is home to a well-respected children’s theatre program. Qualifications: Degree in Costuming from an accredited college or university or significant (5+ years) in a similar position. Stitching and costume construction skills are required. Must possess exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, be accommodating and adaptable and have excellent team-building and customer service capabilities. Excellent organizational, time management and budgeting skills are required. Possess a commitment to collegiality and working with both professional adult actors and child performers, as well as an interest in Children’s Theatre. Knowledge of makeup and hair dressing is desired. Proficiency with Microsoft Office is desired. A valid driver’s license is required. Duties and Responsibilities: Design all makeup, wigs and costumes for our production of Wizard of Oz, opening June 8, 2018. Build and assist Costume Shop Coordinator in the purchasing, borrowing and renting of costumes, fabrics, makeup, wigs and accessories, as needed and within specified budgets. Attend production meetings and dress rehearsals for all productions.
