    Award-winning company Stay Up Late Collective are seeking a FEMALE ACTOR with a native or convincing Irish accent (particularly BAME actors) with a playing age of 18-25 years old to collaborate with on our upcoming profit-share production of Yokes Night by Scott Lyonsin Gerry's Studio at Theatre Royal Stratford East. This is an exciting opportunity to join our small, yet ambitious theatre company as we redevelop this project with a fresh start for future touring.



    Yokes Night is a two-hander spoken-word/physical theatre based play about what it is to be young, broke, and bored in modern Ireland. It depicts the sociopolitical struggles of young people today in Ireland and opens a discussion on the current Abortion Laws. Premiering with critical success at the Pleasance Theatre during the Edinburgh Fringe Festival 2016, Yokes Night later transferred for its Off-Broadway debut at the SoHo Playhouse in New York City.     Production Details:



    Profit share.Rehearsal - Approximately 10 rehearsals at Theatre Royal Stratford East studios over the 12th-25th March 2018. Tech will be on 26th or 27th March. Since this is a profit-share production, we will be flexible and understanding of the creative crew's schedule.Performance length - 28th-31st March 2018 in 60-seater space at Gerry's Studio. We are currently preparing for future touring. 



    We are seeking a FEMALE ACTOR with a native or convincing Irish accent. We are particularly interested to hear from BAME actors.Skills in devising and movement/physical theatre are recommended for this challenging role.
