About me
Since the age of 5 Jake has been Performing on stage, touring worldwide through theatre and music with local Church music bands/choirs and youth groups. He describes acting as his first love, he was introduced to theatre through school where he was constantly awarded the Leading roles in productions like, Fantasia, Macbeth, Living with lady Macbeth, The Pilgrimage, A mid Summer Nights Dream and many more.Jake chose to study Drama through Primary school, secondary school and College, before he decided to concentrate on music full time, incentivised by a full scholarship to The 'Brighton Institute Of Modern Music’ and a national front page press provided by 'The Stage Magazine.’
However it wasn’t long before he was offered his first starring role in a Music theatre production of ’TOMMY’ with a stage budget of £70,000, this was with Brighton Musical Theatre Group.
After Music school Jake Jon studied acting part time at ‘Identity Drama School’ and then continued his studies at ‘Kingdom School Of Arts’ with ‘Ashley Walters’ as a Masterclass tutor. After studies, Jake pursued acting through supporting Artist work on Tv dramas & Documentaries like; ‘Crime Stories’ (Itv), ‘The Fear’ (Channel 4) & ‘Whatever’ (Channel 4 whilst performing Lead roles in independent short and feature films such as; ‘Help at Wallstrabe’ (Lead Role, Independent movie), Grey Snow (Full Feature Movie), Lisa (Lead role, Independent movie) #Strayed (Lead role Short Independent film).
Alongside Jake’s acting career he has spent the last 12 years performing Globally in Gospel bands and as a Solo act, in venues such as ’The Brighton Dome, The Royal Albert Hall & Gardener Arts Centre, Concorde II and other well known venues. His Music Performing, Recording & Songwriting credits include; The Wireless Festival, The Graham Norton Show, The Voice, Text Santa. With Tv writing credits for Made In Chelsea, Match Of The Day, Thunder Birds Are Go. And has performed alongside artist such as; Chad Smith of the Red Hot Chilli Peppers, Little Mix, Meghan Trainor, Jason Derulo, Trevor Nelson, Aloe Blacc, as well as several X factor winners. His music Education also includes an overseas scholarship to attend 'Berklee College Of Music'
