Highlights

An aspiring young singer/songwriter, Katie is 23 and is from Accrington, Lancashire. While her main focus is singing and songwriting, Katie is also a skilled guitarist, drummer and pianist. During her school years, she was the two-time winner of the St Christopher's Young Musician of the Year award and was also a member of school and church choirs as well as smaller vocal ensembles.
Katie is currently based in Manchester, having recently completed her undergraduate studies in Popular Music Performance at the Royal Northern College of Music, gaining a 1st Class Honours degree. Katie regularly performs at charity concerts, and in bars and restaurants in the Greater Manchester area. In addition to this, Katie frequently sings with the folk band Sweeney Astray, who perform in concerts and festivals around the Lancashire area and who have recently supported The Travelling Band at the beginning of their tour, as well as John Bramwell of iamkloot.
In December 2014, Katie released her first single with Pete Bill Records ('O Come, O Come Emmanuel'). Also in 2014, Katie was spotted at a sing-around in Brampton by the famous folk singer Maddy Prior who invited Katie to perform a set at the Stepping Stones Festival in June 2014. As well as this, Maddy asked Katie to perform live and be interviewed on Radio Cumbria to advertise the festival. On Friday 9th May, Katie was interviewed by Gordon Swindlehurst and was privileged to perform two songs live, one of which she performed alongside Maddy.
Most recently, Katie performed her final recital at the Royal Northern College of Music and on May 29th, Katie performed a showcase of her original material at Revolution Oxford Road. On the 31st May 2015, Katie featured in a live broadcast from Holy Trinity Platt for BBC Radio 4's Sunday Worship programme.
Katie is thrilled to have commercially released her debut EP, 'Home' in September 2015. This can be purchased on her website as well as being digitally available on iTunes, Apple Music, Google Play, Spotify and many more. Katie is currently writing new material and plans to release an album following her return to the Royal Northern College of Music to complete a Masters degree.
