About me

I consider myself reasonably attractive, considerably intelligent, highly sociable and an excellent writer. I've written 2 features, one optioned, one in development and the BBC are currently looking at my idea for a TV Drama series. Although sarting from a background of journalism, sound engineering and the music industry, I've often been interested in the idea of being an extra or minor acting roles. I have been offered these opportunities in the past but have turned them down (wrong place, wrong time). I'm half Nigerian, half British, and have a cultured English accent (a "Chelsea 'cut'" I've been told) which I can play up or down as required. I'm a consummate professional, treating every role, no matter how big or small with due diligence; I'm also extremely flexible availability-wise. I believe I would be a credit to any production/project that I'm invited to be a part of.
Acting experience:
My acting experience is quite small at the moment, but building fast. i recently participated in the upcoming feature film "Triumph in the Skies" where I had a small speaking (well, shouting) part. Previously I have acted as an attractive drug-addicted prostitute (salubrious, huh?) for an exhibit by artist Mat Colishaw. Everyone was very impressed and the piece was bought by the Berlin Museum of Modern Art. I also had to act in 'undercover roles' when I worked as a journalist.
Specific skills:
I possess those qualities that are essential for any job: enthusiasm, ambition, self-motivation and team orientation.
I can write - in particular screenplays (one optioned, two in development).
I'm a multi-tasker, at one point managing two college bands, working as a journalist for the SLP Group, co-organising the 'Music Industry Soccer Six' charity football tournament, all while studying for a degree in psychology.
I have an excellent short-term memory (useful for any 'lines' that might crop up.
i speak a little Italian /French /Spanish in authentic accents.
I have a cultured English voice which I can (and have) play up or down to match specific situations.
I'm good at sports - in particular boxing and yoga.
Interesting past experiences:
After University, I went to LA, bought myself a car and drove all the way to New York, via north to Montana, and south to New Orleans. I saw the true America and met so many people from different walks of life, who provided me with inspiration for many characters in my screenplays.
My interests:
Apart from my avid interest in writing, language and words in general (I'm a lethal scrabble player!), I'm a bit of a gym bunny - I'm there at least 5 days a week, practising boxing, CrossFit and yoga. I love cooking from scratch and loathe process foods. I like eating out, especially all-day breakfasts in greasy spoons. Entertainment-wise, my major favourites are early 1970's vietnam war/gangster movies. And Buffy the Vampire Slayer.
