As a busy mum for 24 years I decided to challenge myself and do something I’ve been interested in for a few years.
I have worked part time over the years, working in a hospital on their reception, I ran my own domestic cleaning company for many years often cleaning as well. I am currently chair of governors in a primary school and also work in the classroom working on a 1 to 1 with a child who has dyslexia. Now my youngest two are at secondary school I wanted to fulfil a bit of a dream. The last year since being a SA have been exciting and fulfilling. I have discovered talents I didn’t know I had.
I am growing in this industry and have worked on some amazing projects for charities and tv productions. I have also played featured, speaking roles and I feel very comfortable playing background roles.
I do a lot of community work. I am part of a parent community patrol and we work with the police and local schools. I am also the education expert on the school appeals panel at my local council.
I enjoy walking my dog and running.
In the past six months I have worked on numerous background roles for productions such as The Confession for ITV, Temple and Breeders fornSky, War of the Worlds for Fox and Canal Plus, Giri for Sky, The Last Cupcake for Amazon Prime. I have also appeared in he background for Eastenders and a hospital patient in BBC Holby City and I’ve played a DI for Code 404. Other tv work include the soon to be aired White House Farm Murders, Back 2, The One and Save Me 2.
I have modelled for Creative Media Skills as a hair and makeup model. This trains specialists to adapt and improve their skills and specialises in prosthetic and fx makeup, wig fitting and period hair design.
I have also modelled for L’Oreal in an online campaign.
I have played a featured speaking role in the TVC for SumUp where I played a yogi in a goat yoga class. I also had to speak the line in Italian and I had a dialect specialist to help train me. Also, I was a featured extra for Cancer Research Shine Night Walk and this now features on their website and on social media.
Most recently I have played a school teacher in the British Red Cross campaign #EveryRefugeeMatters.
Interesting Past Experiences
Being in the classroom can be emotive and fun, all at the same time. I have learnt greater empathy and a better understanding of how different children learn and how they can thrive despite their difficulties.
