About me
With over six years working in sound related roles I have gained much relevant industry experience; as a lounge technician I ran events on a daily basis regularly undertaking different set ups, a lot of maintenance, and finding convenient and practical ways to run multiple events simultaneously. During this time I became extremely familiar with many sound desks which I would use everyday during various events. As well as microphone maintenance and looking after the sound requirements of cast and musicians. Through touring I have experience operating sound in many venues using a verity of equipment and an understanding of different venue configurations and sound requirements.In 2013 - 2015 I gained much experience as a technician and operator in various small Southampton venues recording artists both live and in studio environment, and running sound at many venues including Marshals, Joiners Live, and and a Student Union open mic night to name a few. All with varying sound requirements. These events gave me further experience with a variety of sound desks including: Alen&Heath Q16, Yamaha M7CL, Soundcraft Signature 12, Soundcraft K2 Analogue Console, and Audient ASP8024, ICON DCommand work surfaces, and TLA M4 Tube Console in studio environments.
From a studio background I have gained good knowledge of Logic Pro and Protools digital audio workstations, as well as performance and recording techniques in both live concert and studio production, which helped in running Music events and producing polished recordings and compositions for artists and bands. Further to this I have strong knowledge of Qlab for use with sound FX in theatre, along with knowledge of Ableton Live and MainStage popular in musical arrangement or sound design to layer samples or creating instrument patches or racks for use during concert.
